Portfolio example: International chain of luxury hotels

Ongoing weekly translation and localisation of marketing and website content for a well-known international chain of luxury hotels, through the translation agency Ultimate Languages.

Since February 2021, I have been translating up to 5000 words a week for this client, including hotel and room descriptions, local tourist information, photo captions, restaurant menus, advertising campaigns, brand loyalty terms, website terms and conditions and other online marketing content.

I help this client communicate with their French-speaking customers through:

  • Translating, MTPE, localising and transcreating from English into French
  • Researching hotels, cities and locations
  • Meeting style and brand voice requirements set by the client
  • Working in a CAT tool, using a translation memory, term base and QC tool to ensure consistent and accurate results
  • Meeting tight deadlines on a weekly basis
